My name is Aman Desai and I am a Post-Baccalaureate Intern at the Center for Nonlinear Studies at Los Alamos National Laboratory. In May of 2025, I graduated from UC Berkeley, where I majored in computer science. Broadly speaking, I am interested in applying tools from neuroscience, statistics, and optimization theory to develop deep learning models that are more efficient and robust. I am particularly excited about designing theoretically motivated artificial intelligence systems that can have a positive social impact, especially in contexts like economics and healthcare.
